because i am completely self obsessed of course, and i realised that it is all total shitbags. so i'm prolly gonna delete a huge portion of it, because noone really needs to see this shit. maybe i'll just move it all to scraps or something, cos its really just worthless junk.

this isn't a bad thing, its good to realise how shit you are sometimes and i mean its not surprising that the majority of the crap i have uploaded here is shit, i didn't know what i was doing. i'm no 'artist'. i'm a friggen graphic designer. and contrary to what many designers think, design isn't art. what is art anyway?. ugh thats a conversation for another day.

and wow! its been years since i posted last. seriously like 2 years. last journal entry was freakin the sigur ros one! man that was a good show.

it sucks
it's soul sucking, i'm making beautiful work for people who just don't appreciate it (small businesses - read: cheap bastards), and worst of all, i fucking HATE my boss so much (seriously he's the most pompous, fucked up, freakishly ANNOYING MAN ON THE PLANET)
I work with 2 other women, they do sales, and they are the awesomest girls ever, i love them, but my boss man.. god.

i haven't uploaded anything in .. holy shit, months

the reason being that work is unbelievably busy and i don't even have time for internets!

i'll eventually get around to showing you guys some of the crap i've been doing at work. it's nice to be working for actual clients and meeting a bunch of new people but seriously, omg these people are SO CHEAP and have no idea *sigh*

one good thing that has happened this week is i have been picked up by a woman who runs a carwash (i know sounds tacky, but it's .. a really nice car wash, lol!) and she's involved with this like, canterbury university research and development project to help with a bunch of stuff in Tonga (reducing plastics waste, saving the coconut crab, getting computers for schools, developing hospitals, improving biosecurity stuffs etc) with the hope that it will, if it takes off, be taken to other places like south america, etc. my involvement will be to brand the whole thing - the umbrella "brand" which is something like ecoCare public trust or something hippy like that, and also i think theres something like 8 "sub-brands" for each stem of the initiative. The reason i'm involved is because they need to apply to the government for funding, and well, everyone knows, the more professional and legitimate something looks, the more likely they are to get what they want!

it's seriously big, especially for someone like me who has like.. no experience. it will look fantastico on my CV, and hopefully get me in contact with a few people that are more than likely to help my career (andrea, the woman from the car wash is already incredibly 'connected' and she thinks the sun shines out my arse, so i'm a shoe in, lol..) so yah i am excited

its something creative to take my mind off the fact that i hate my job heh!

ooh motorhead just came on, time to rock out (with my..er cock.. out!)

i promise i'll TRY and show you's some stuff. it's all rubbish though, so don't expect anything fancy shmancy. i have like an hour to come up with the stuff i do at work, you'll see what i mean

I got a job!

my old college referred a job to me (aparrently my tutor suggested i apply) for a firm thats starting up here in chch, and i got it!
it was down to me and one other person and i got it yayyy

it's pretty lucky really, its the only/first job i applied for, and i would have been pretty rooted if i didn't get it (i am totally poorrrr) so i am pretty stoked as you can imagine!

he said my portfolio and work and everything was stand out and he was glad he hired me because otherwise i would be SNAPPED UP!

how nice/weird it is to hear this about yourself D:!

so i am the only designer. i do all the work, i get all the control. its not highly "creative" work but it's a fucken 9-5 mon-friday deal which i am so insanely happy about. i've been working weekends my entire friggin life and its over nowwww!
i am handing in my notice at my old job today

this weekend i am totally getting sloshed with pals ( such as *inchworm ), because another of my friends also got a job! HOORAY!
