Artist's Comments

I was contemplating putting this in scraps, it's not great, but I'm rather happy with some aspects, unhappy with others.

I really like this. I love how just a few shades and sketchy markes bring out a drawing like this, I really like this type of sketching. Great job.

I like this one better than the other one posted. I feel this one has more life to it, probably because of the way you let loose while drawing the hair and just made fast, squiggly marks. Maybe in your next drawing you can try using only one kind of mark, like those squiggly ones, and see what it does for the drawing.

The face seems skewed, but it lends a certain charm to it... like a caricature of a person, if you know what i mean. I agree with the previous comment... The quickness with which you've executed some of the strokes does give it dynamism, especially in the hair. I also like the dense area of shadow as opposed to that of the untouched, light parts. While I think the lack of certain definition gives a good feel to this drawing, some parts lack a little too much, like around her legs and hands for instance, but it's nevertheless still an interesting piece. Keep up the good work. :)
